Taylor Lorenz Banned
I agree with every critique you’ve said about Taylor Lorenz but, I hate to say it, she shouldn’t have been banned from Twitter and I’m curious in your thoughts. what constitutes doxing in terms of endangerment and identity of public figures to the point where banning is appropriate? how much is this just Elon trying to appease the right for his encroachments on “free speech”? Is Twitter just going to lose relevance if this continues?
Still Using Clickbait
Why do you still use all caps in your video titles? Now that you are well established with an alternative revenue stream, why still engage in the clickbait nonsense? I don't send your videos to my friends because their first response is that "this looks like inflammatory bs news". I wish you guys would take your unique spot more seriously.
Do any potential presidential candidates get you excited?
Krystal, I know you supported Sanders in the past, but since he ruled out any more presidential campaigns, is there anyone you are looking to next? Saagar, I don't recall ever seeing you get excited by any one candidate. Are there any potential candidates for 2024 or even beyond that don't fill you with dread and sorrow? Who is your dream presidential candidate?
Primary Election Incentives
As a regular Breaking Points viewer, I know that you should match incentives with the behavior you want to see. With that in mind, I ask, wouldn’t it make sense to incentivize states to increase voter turnout by setting a primary schedule based on voter turnout. The state with the highest percentage voter turnout holds the first in the nation primary. High Bar: It would incentivize states to make voting easier, it would give apathetic voters another reason to engage, it would not punish Iowa/NH, but give them a chance to ‘earn’ their primary status, it would prevent this constant debate as to which state is most representative of the whole US population, and any party who implemented it would be making a statement on their faith in democracy. Low Bar: It would, at least, feel less rigged. Love the show!
