What is not in the JFK files release?
I recall that last time around that Biden required that if anything is to be withheld during this release, that an unclassified report be created that lists the documents withheld, and the reason why. Where is that report? That should be far more interesting then what was released.
Global Science question - A.I. Generated Art
This week there was a massive movement online and across the world about A.I. generated art outright steeling copyrighted material and including it into their results. Normally this would be ok except for that certain companies driving the data sets are possibly making money off these results without compensation to the original artists. The Data Scientists communities are saying, that they didn't even consider this when developing the software i.e. Mid Journey and Stability A.I. Their goal is to get to Utopia in the form of A.G.I. (Artificial General Intelligence). Which is a much bigger conversation of trying to get A.I. to do what a human can do in terms of processing. Then multiply that by a trillion times of computing power to help solve greater world concerns and help in moving innovations forward. If the argument is that other countries are moving faster at trying to achieve the same goals without restrictions. Is it then ok for our own science communities to not be concerned with the infringements and push forward in the name science of the A.I. race? While of course certain actors may take advantage of this opportunity. I was wondering if either of you have been following and what your takes would be on the ethical fallout, implications, and entanglements that may be quickly approaching. Thank you and love the show!
Independent news collective
Hi guys, I am a premium subscriber and very much appreciate what you’re doing. This is more of a suggestion than a question, but I’d like your feedback, if my idea is not too naïve! Because of the increase of non-commercial media and grassroots reporting, strong independent voices should collaborate to creative forum for shining a collective light on the ills and corruption that persist. Collective information on stories that are vetted and agreed on by this collective, could be published as “the truth as we know it“ or some such. Not to take away from the independent process of each outlet, but to establish that also some reporting is done in concert with other journalists investigating the same issues. As in science, if/when more information becomes known, the truth can evolve, giving more clarity to each topic. It seems as though this collective would generate more clout and increase overall awareness, while increasing readership or viewership, and prompt more attention from msm and the political arena. Outlets that come to mind are: you, Sirota, Sheer, Greenwald, Blumenthal, Taibbi, Dore, Hedges, Mate, Harper, Brand, etc. Anyway, my two cents. United we stand! Thanks, Bill Stoye
Can the Railroad bosses be charged with domestic terrorism?
Given the disruption to so many sectors of industry and the US economy; if the railroad bosses create another "slowdown" of the rails, could they be charged with domestic terrorism? If so, do think anyone in the federal government would have the courage to do so? ter·ror·ism - noun - the unlawful use of violence and intimidation (intimidation by not getting goods and products to where they are needed), especially against civilians (higher prices, lack of availability) , in the pursuit of political aims (making sure the President and/or advisors don't disrupt the rail profits by siding on the side of rail workers).
