With almost certain yet underreported and gaslit disaffection from young, black and lefty voters immediately after January and in an environment of shortening attention spans are the democrats unknowingly heading into a midterm blood bath? (even though I would predict they lose the H. and keep the S. narrowly). Why have elected “progressives” not continued pushing for and supporting Nina Turner like candidates in EVERY remotely competitive primary? And as a 20 year old first time Joe Biden voter in NY am I now politically homeless because the only thing that could get me to make that vote was the 4 year Trump telenovela presidency and the low effort of mail-in voting as even another Trump candidacy (personally) won’t be enough for me to consistently compromise values. And last do we all just have to hope and pray libs and cons get onboard with #Votingthemallout
Idea: Congress Duty
I've gotten feedback from some friends on the idea that serving in Congress could be something like jury duty. To be eligible, must be a US citizen (born or naturalized), must have been active in recent state and national elections, and must pass an exam on how the federal Gov't works (all three branches). Random selection from that pool. Term is 2 years, guaranteed placement back to former job or similar (like USERRA). Not allowed to state or reveal a party affiliation. Lobbyists must provide matching funds to members of the home district to come and get equal time with you. 10-year prohibition of joining consultancy, legal firm advising govt, or govt contractor after term is over. Appeal to citizens to participate would be current congressional salary, which is in 90th percentile. Performance eval at end of term decides whether you are eligible to go back in the pool to be selected again at another time.

How would you go about fixing relationship with son wo listens to divisive talk by Silicon Valley news? He vilifies my idea of truths, and calls it right wing, and years ag o Alt-Right. He lives in San Francisco, works for Silicon Valley. He told me for years that there is no censorship, no one can change the internet. Now it is out in the open so he is hearing they can't get rid of us, (insinuating that they would if they could). So he said we should find another platform. Now they are citing Russian disinformation that is hurting democracy. We are causing problems, being pro Assad, and talking about Hunter Biden. So we should be shut up on those new platforms, (insinuating we shouldn't have a platform at all. How do I talk to him? He used his little daughter to hurt me by telling me she is so happy about Biden and Kamala and says she is voted! He is all I have in the world.
