Saagar's Flag
First let me say that I'm a fan of the work you are doing which is why I am a subscriber and why I recommend your work to my friends and family. I'm also glad Saagar is feeling well and I appreciate the work ethic that you both demonstrate by continuing the show this week. I noticed that in the background of Saagar's room there is an inverted American flag. I am curious why Saagar has the flag displayed in this manner. Please keep up the great work. Thanks Mike Reilly

Why do you feel, Krystal, that you have to be a sales person for the vaccine? You seem to need to do an add for compliance before you say what you are seeing...... What we are seeing further casts doubt, so...... watch your biases, please. just sayin'
Vaccines
Part of the reason that the government isn't doing more to drive mass vaccination is that there is a scientific reason not to encourage everyone to mass vaccinate... Vaccines definitely help against Delta, but there is a potential scenario where multiple vaccine-escape variants emerge and the vaccinated would actually be more susceptible to infection. This scenario actually becomes more probable the more people are vaccinated, because it is creating an environment of selective pressure on the virus to mutate. So America has already gone pretty far in with vaccines, and it could turn out to be the right strategy, but also it could not, and pushing it even further could possibly actually lead to a worse outcome. AMA Follow Up - Krystal Remark on Healthcare System
Good Morning, I wanted to dig deeper on a remark Krystal made during last weekend's AMA that had me puzzled: I believe she said that our healtcare system incentivizes chronic illness because it is profitable for companies to treat those illnesses. I don't understand the causal mechanism between 1) Companies generate profits by treating chronic illnesses and 2) There are a lot of folks in our country with chronic illnesses. Healthcare companies treat the illnesses that people have because it's good business, but they can't make people smoke, eat poorly, etc. I certainly don't think Krystal is alleging that primary care physicians ignore or encourage behaviors that lead to these conditions because it makes money for drug companies, right?
