3rd Party Disrupting the Duopoly

In todays episode (1/20/2022) you both are discussing the importance of a legitimate 3rd party and how, in the past, a 3rd party has really been around to influence conversations rather than win. Wouldn’t you think that things have changed in the last 15 years? It seems to me that the way the parties have been gatekeepers has been controlling exposure and conversations. Someone who already has a robust social media following could easily gain traction and appeal directly to the American people without relying on the DNC or GOP for promotion and approval. #Jocko&Tulsi2024

Natural Immunity

A study just released by the CDC showed that during the Delta Variant, natural immunity from previous COVID infections provided greater protection against new COVID infections compared to vaccinations without any previous infections. The vaccine reduced your risk by about 82%. Previous infection reduced your risk by about 95%. Previously infected people who also got vaccinated saw their risk reduced by about 96%. Now, that was Delta, and people hadn't gotten boosters... but the Unicron variant is much less dangerous. The CDC tracker shows infection rates at almost 4 times the previous max, but death rates at half. Do we really need to be spending a lot of time and attention trying to get previously infected people vaccinated to reduce their risk by 96% instead of 95%? Consider also, how many people out there must have recovered from a mild case without realizing they actually had COVID. What is it going to take for people to stop treating this like an emergency? CDC study: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7104e1.htm?s_cid=mm7104e1_w Got my numbers from this article: https://news.yahoo.com/cdc-report-finds-prior-infection-183325441.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall * I assume a "five-fold lower rate of infection" means the rate was 20%, so an 80% decrease.
