Hi Krystal and Saagar, I'm wondering if y'all have any plans for future live shows? I was so mad I couldn't make your New York show and I am dying to attend one (cough cough, please do another New York show!). Perhaps a live Marianne/RFK debate? I'll even take a Ted Talk from Saagar on niche men's fashion rules. Please!!!!
I was watching this movie more because Sydney Sweeney, but I was surprised to see Krystal at the end of the movie when they were showing media news clips after the arrest of the whistleblower. Did she know she was going to be clipped in the movie? Nevertheless it was cool to see Krystal and just wanted to give her a shout out!
I just wanted to ask a question about you reparations conversations from a previous show specifically for Saagar and Emily episode. I agree and disagree with your opinion but you and Emily avoided the baseline question. Does the country owe anything to descendants of slaves and those people still alive who suffered from defacto and de jure polices that existed until at least 1980 (but can be argued still exist in some forms today)? Also the other important question is why should Black people the minority that has been aggrieved, have the remedy subject to the whims of the majority? The question should not be, should we do reparations, or help all poor people. We can do both. Help poor whites, and remedy the history of slaves in America. We, including Black Americans, provide reparations to Native Americans, which I fully agree with. So,why are they allowed but we are not ? Finally I want to point out that last week you mentioned that Black People received 40 acers and a mule, that never happened. To be clear, it was ordered by General Sherman but immediately reversed by President Johnson when Lincoln was shot. This article has more details. https://www.pbs.org/wnet/african-americans-many-rivers-to-cross/history/the-truth-behind-40-acres-and-a-mule/
I think your Ukraine analysis has been really suffering from being caught up in an American misunderstanding of the conflict and especially of how Russia functions. There are plenty of arguments beyond the πΊπ¦ in Twitter bio American libs/neocons and beyond the anti-NATO/American Imperialism Left. It'd be great to get some post-Soviet experts, like Vlad Vexler, on the show not just to interview but to test your views against.
