Krystal and saagar, I need to read more I will pick up Tim Urbans new book soon but asking for more you guys recommended for better understanding of politics, Financials, and society that you guys talk about in your shows. Where to start and what to progress with please and thank you.
What's the (possible) argument of govt turning a blind-eye to payment for order flow (what Robin Hood does with your trading to make money) vs CZ's usage of user data to follow/create market trends? Both undercut the customer and are a breach of trust with the agent, but one merits the US govt investigating and suing the crypto exchange while the other is completely legal and business as usual. Wall St. greed at its finest, it's only a problem when they're not making money.
It feels like we learned nothing from 2016. Newspapers, news sites, cable news, and increasingly on BP, journalists are dedicating entire segments/stories to "reacting" Trump social media posts. Why are you guys participating in this? You can still cover a former president and current presidential candidate without treating his social media rants like they are all independent, news-worthy events. What do you guys think? How do you make editorial decisions around this content without repeating the mistakes of 2016?
I see a bunch of people on Twitter saying that the TikTok ban has some pretty questionable language and could even restrict citizens from using VPN’s and addressing grievances against the police and the government. Just hoping y’all can clear away some of the BS.
