Farhad Manjoo published an opinion piece in the Sept.16 NYT on the value of nuclear power. He doubts it's utility in the fight to reduce carbon emissions based on it's high cost relative to wind and solar. A cost that could be exponentially higher if there were another Fukushima type disaster. Saagar always rather blithely, in my opinion, argues for more nuclear power. Krystal is uncharacteristically silent on the issue. If you can't get Manjoo on Breaking Points, putting someone with a similar view as a guest on the show, would be a good thing as this is an important issue.
When asked by my conservative friends about my views on Marxism, I usually start with the phrase that Capitalism was always meant as an economic theory, not an absolute system of governance. Where do you see economic theory and politics getting muddled, and what can we do, if anything, to extricate them?
